Rexburg Temple Open House

This past weekend Dad, Mom, Danelle, and Cassie Cook came down to Rexburg for the temple open house. We had a great time spending time with them and being able to go through the temple together as a family. (Dustin took this picture of the temple at night time...we thought it looked really pretty.)

We started the weekend out with everyone arriving Friday night. We went out to dinner once their plane landed and almost got killed by Dustin because he almost drove into a snow bank. Then we came back to Dustin and Cassie's apartment and spent all night talking, while Danelle and Cassie C. raced,Mario Kart, on our game cube. Then off to the motel room for the night.

The next day we had a big breakfast at Dustin and Cassie's house. We then went shopping and of course spent lots of money! Then we came back and played games. The first game was "apples to apples" where mom was having a hard time picking the cards because she wanted to be sure she picked the right one. The next game was "Scategories" We played 3 times and then added up the score to see who one. Mom and Dad were tied. So, we had another game with just them to see who would win. They had to play 3 other times before the tie was finally broken by dad. Then we watched the movie "Legacy" to get into the mood before we got ready to go up into the temple.

The open house was a wonderful experience. The temple was amazing and very pretty. We were so glad that some of the family was able to come to see the inside of it. It was very special with it being Cassie Cook's first time going through a temple.

After the temple we came home and ate dinner. Then played another game and sat around talking. Then everyone left to the motel again for the night.

The next day we woke up to it snowing outside (dad was way happy). We went out to breakfast and then took Cassie C. on a tour of the school. While we were driving around we found the place that Denise lived while she attended school there. (we made Cassie stand in front of the sign.)

We also went up to the temple again and took pictures of us with it. ( it was too dark the night before) Then we came home and got ready to head to Idaho Falls.
Dad was packing the car and as you can see that with the snow coming down like crazy, that doesn't mean that you will see him wearing a jacket!

We went shopping in Idaho Falls, drove by the Idaho Falls temple and then dropped everyone off at the airport. We had a great time with everyone here and hope that everyone else did too. It's always fun to do things with the family!
