We are sooo sorry that it has taken us awhile to put up pictures of our trip to Mexico. We know you have all been dying to see them! It has been really crazy since we have gotten back. We had so much fun while we were there and it was hard to pick out what pictures to post because we had so many! Here is a list of highlights of the things that we did while we were down there.
1. Of course we went swimming in the Caribbean and even snorkeled a little out there.
2. We went on a sunset boat cruise that had a hammack over the water. Cassie got a little boat sick which wasn't that fun but it was still really cool. We saw a beautiful Sunset and to top it all off Dad Arbogast was able to fish a little and while doing so he caught a three and half foot barracuda! Go Dad!
3. We tried to find Turtles the whole time we were there and didn't see any. (A few of us got to see one in the water when we were leaving for our boat ride...but no swimming with them!)
4. We went to a place called Xel-ha (Chel- Ha) which is like a huge natural water place that we went snorkeling, cliff jumping, floating down a river on tubes, walking across ropes, laying in hammocks, watching dolphins do tricks and eating lots of food! We had tons of fun here. Also, Momma Arbogast saw a sting ray in the water there! Momma Ruge was a good sport and was able to snorkel even though she hates water!
5. We went to the Chichen Itza Mayan Ruins which were amazing. We had an LDS tour guide that was able to take us around and tell us about different facts. Being there and listening to everything that went on there it just made us all feel more connected The Book of Mormon. This was Cassie's favorite place/thing we did. I mean Who wouldn't love to see one of the newest wonders of the world! Then our tour guide took us to a cenote. Which is where the Mayans use to get fresh water from, Like a fresh water well. It was a really cool place, and we got go swim in it, After we walked 90 feet down the stairs. That was Dustin's favorite part of the whole trip. It was very pretty!
6. We went to another swimming place which was a calm private Lagoon and did some more snorkeling. The fish would come right up to you, and one even nibbled on Dustin's toe. It was so Cool!
7. We ate lots and had a few really nice dinners. One was made a lady who came to the house and cooked it for us and another we had dinner out on the beach at a wonderful restaurant.
8. There was lots of laying out and sitting around talking. It was so nice to just relax!
We had lots of laughs and great times together and loved Mexico! We loved being there with our parents even more! We will never forget the time we spent and the memories made with them in Mexico!
