MOTHER'S WEEKEND WITH DANELLE......

WOW......WHAT A WONDERFUL, FABULOUS, AWESOME, FUN WEEKEND. I can't tell you, Danelle, how much I enjoy being with you and experiencing these workshops, dinners and performances. You really know how to show a mom a good time. The workshops we chose to attend were "Weak Things: The Legacy of Joseph Smith, The Propeht"(God worked miracles with Joseph Smith and will do the same with you), "I Can Receive Personal Revelation" (we can learn to identify when the Spirit is speaking directly to us), "The Incredible Gifts of Women" (explore the Heavenly Gifts of Women). The speakers were spiritual, funny and so convincing. We laughed, cried, but mostly learned! Thanks Cassie and Danelle for taking me.

During the break till dinnertime we took Dustin to a birthday lunch at GATOR JACK'S. This is the cutest hole in the wall place in Rigby. It was like walking into the Florida everglades with gators all around (see pic of mom and dad). They also had Mr. Everglades Danelle flirted with (see pic) even though he was a few years her senior. They had the BEST sandwiches and little round potatoes with cheese, bacon and sauce over them. Ummmmmmm!

The dinner with campus dignitaries was a sit down pot roast dinner and we sat with Danelle's room mate and mom, Jeanne Morris and daughter, and hundreds of others. Here we listened to entertainment and a short talk by school president.

After dinner we walked to the concert being given by William Joseph. He is the opening act for Il Divo and Josh Groban besides touring on his own. Besides being a VERY handsome man he is a wonderful entertainer and pianist. He writes most of his own music (8 out of 12 he played...he wrote). Danelle and I got to meet him and have our picture taken with him. What an honor and special treat for us! He is a member of the church and uses his music to do missionary work. Danelle and I had BIG smiles on our faces all the way home!
