Well, the new living room is complete and after much thought, work, watching HGTV, and advice we put our talents and abilities to work to "recreate" a comfortable, peaceful, and welcoming enviroment for those visiting our home. Jack and I worked side by side and accomplished just what we wanted our living to say, "WELCOME, come in and sit a while we're glad you came". We painted walls, carpeted living room and hall, painted fireplace & fireplace screen, redid the fireplace hearth, painted frames, rearranged the pictures (again), bought some collages which will house all the pics you're sending me, put up valances instead of curtains so as to not block the light, bought two gorgeous chairs at a garage sale $5 apiece, brought out quilting frame with 100 yr. old quilts, and mom's family magazine rack which is only piece of furniture left from her side of family. We still have a terrific "cosmetic" addition we will do soon.
