COLTY'S SPECIAL BAPTISM DAY......

Saturday, November 29th, 2008 we all arrived a little early to help set up for Colty's special baptism day. He had that definate "pre-baptismal glow" and looked so handsome in his white jumpsuit. He hugged everyone who came in and was so happy. There was no doubt in our minds he understood the promises/covenants he was going to make with Heavenly Father this day.

Many family and friends from the ward were here to celebrate with him on his day. Colty had ask Uncle Dustin (Nunny) to come and speak on the Holy Ghost (course Aunt Cassie came with him).

Soon it was time for Colty to be baptized by his dad. I know this is only one of the special occasions Dad/Son will share as other ordinances are performed in their lives. Colty will need us to all be good examples to him as he tries to "Choose The Right".
All of Colty's cousins who live close by had come to share this time with him. They are Jay, Abbie, Jess, and Taylor. His sister Cassie is in back of Taylor. Sean was being held by his Dad.Colty looked so handsome in his new black suit! Grandma and grandpa had gotten him a new tie and Moroni tie tac to wear afterwards but I think he wore Uncle Nunny's "strippling warrrior" tie tack instead. He was really a happy young boy and took it all very serious!
Aunt Danelle came in her really cool cast to be with Colty. Becky is a new friend he shares with Danelle from BYU-Idaho.
Couldn't be baptized without his "super-duper aunt", Danette. Danette and family gave him a really nice scripture carrier, high lighter/marker, and Book of Morman Story Stickers (to mark where stories are in the scriptures).
This is Colty's family who attended and promise to be there for him as he grows and needs really good council and advice! We hope to be good examples he can look up to and wants to be like. We hope he sees more in our hearts than sometimes we are willing to share. We hope he continues to love us in our imperfections this day.....though he is clean and new. Colty we love you so much!!!

Colty shared his baptimal day with a classmate and friend, Kaelynn Whiting from his ward.

When the Bishop welcomed Colton and Kaelynn as new members of the Enumclaw 3rd Ward he ask them to go home and write down all the feelings they had this day. He admonished them to them read them often and never forget what a good feeling it was to be so clean and pure. Grandma and grandpa had bought him a book, "My Baptismal Memories" which I hope will carry all these thoughts, pictures, and information about this very special day.
