Jackie and the New Leg!

We all have nicknames for Dad. Old Man Rivers, Jackie, Jack A, Dad, Daddy, etc... Well, imagine my surprise when I hear Jay yelling, "Go Jackie! Faster!" As he's hitting the horse he's sitting on.

I asked him who Jackie was and he said, "my horse".

In January when Dad had his hip replaced, we told the kids that grandpa got a new leg. When we visited them in the hospital Jay was very curious about this "new leg" and wanted to see it. Jay was surprised that it looked much like the old one. Dad told the kids he had to get a new leg so he could ran as fast as they could.

A few weeks later he did this:


and said, "Look, my new leg!" Him and Jess still do this today and think its awesome to have a new legs because it makes them run faster! = )
