SALEM, OHIO....HOME SWEET HOME

Oh, this town was after my own heart. I told the gentleman at the Historical Society, "I don't know how they could have left here unless it was for an adventure." It was so clean and pretty! Lots of manufacturing plants shutdown so maybe it wasn't so clean in it's "olden days". When our ancestors were alive and lived here they were Quakers and quite prominent in the community and church. Most of them were farmers and owned lots of land. We have some pictures of some of the clothing they wore, items from their homes, and community events/clubs/and schools they probably belonged to. One of the sheriffs in town is one of our descendants, Todd Beeson. He was not available to see but I have an address I'm going to communicate with him.
