Halloween Cookies

Oct. 20th Cassie and I had some friends over to bake and decorate some Halloween cookies. As though that wasn't enough sugar we decided to make Carmeled Apples too. (On the left you can see me unwrapping all the individuals)

As we went to the various Dollar Stores we were unsuccessful at finding any cookie cutters. We then went to Wal-Mart and they were way too expensive for our budget! We ended up going with the old fashion cut the cookie shapes out with your own knife. Cassie did all the fancy ones while I cut out a "haunted" house.

Once the cookies were cooked Cassie made home made frosting to cover them with. We couldn't just have plain ol' frosting so we used food dye to color them. We created a lime green, a pinkish orange, pure white, and a grayish black.

The Carmel Apples turned out good but there was a lot of Carmel on those apples! It was a fun time to remember and a great activity for the season.
