Well, it was time for another Arbogast get together and we decided on Mud Mountain Dam Park to celebrate Mom, Matt and Taylor's birthdays which are September 9th and 10th. (Danette and Matt were leaving for Cancun and we were taking Danelle back to BYU-Idaho and going to Jackson Hole, Wyoming so we couldn't do it closer to the birthdays). It would give the kids a place to run free and play on the toys and us a chance to visit and play with the kids!
First activity was busting a pinata which has become our families way of staying young! Doctors have decided that if you do it often you add eight years to your life. We laugh so hard at one "pinata event" that it makes up for all the days we don't laugh! Anyway, Taylor put a hole in it, I knocked some paper off it and made a hole, and Matt came in and destroyed it. Kids came from all around to gather the candy....oh, I guess you do see me???
Now, it was time to open presents.I got a "real" bottle of perfume from Dad, Taylor's favorite was a Hannah Montana backpack for school, and Matt got a fishing trip in Cancun/and shirts.
Then it was time for our own personal cakes and ice cream. Danette really went out of her way to make them really special for each of us. Mine was victorian lace, Taylor's was Nemo type fish in the ocean, and Matt's a tropical island with he and Danette under a palm tree. They were really tasty, too.
